Spotted this photo - taken by Pauho - on GlasgowPhoto on Flickr. Apparently it's on a fence on the road where deliveries are made to the Science Centre (you can just see that the fence on the other side reads d = vt).
So if you've got a really massive thing (like a lorry) coming towards you picking up speed rapidly and you get in its way, it's really going to hurt. Hence the "Look Left" on the road I suppose ;-)
Thanks! I'd probably get hit by the lorry whilst figuring out the equation. You have given me the great gift of being spared by being hit by a lorry in front of this particular equation. If I find other equations, I'll look left first, then puzzle it out (time permitting).

For us non-sciencey types, what does the equation actually mean?
Force = mass x acceleration
