More Party Pics

Here are a few more photos from the christening party yesterday...

After a tiring morning being christened, Andrew was keen to get his teeth into a good book...

...and some cake.

Heather agreed to be yesterday's photo-subject in a couple of very glamorous corsets, despite my completely inept assistance with the lacing - it's much more complex than it looks to get the laces pulled in the right order. I would never have cut it as a Victorian lady's maid...

National Poetry Day

I was invited along to the launch of the new St. Mungo's Mirrorball website today, which took place at the top of the Glasgow Science Centre tower. I've never been up it before, having a fear of spindly heights (i.e. those not firmly attached to hills or large rocks) but it seemed like too bizarre and interesting an opportunity to miss. It was really good fun, although a trifle scary, particularly as it was quite windy today and the the tower sways! So between that and the shaking of my legs it's a miracle I got any photos to come out at all...

Liz being filmed - possibly on the STV news tonight (possibly incluing a glimpse of me trying not to look terrified...)
