National Poetry Day

I was invited along to the launch of the new St. Mungo's Mirrorball website today, which took place at the top of the Glasgow Science Centre tower. I've never been up it before, having a fear of spindly heights (i.e. those not firmly attached to hills or large rocks) but it seemed like too bizarre and interesting an opportunity to miss. It was really good fun, although a trifle scary, particularly as it was quite windy today and the the tower sways! So between that and the shaking of my legs it's a miracle I got any photos to come out at all...

Hi Claire, Good to meet you yesterday and great photos! Mine are not nearly as good, but I'll post them on the St Mungo's Mirrorball Facebook page shortly if you want a look at them. You're in quite a few. For me, it didn't really feel so high while we were up there, but looking at it now ... gulp!
All best, Eleanor

Hi Eleanor,

Good to meet you too :-) Thanks for putting the photos on the Mirrorball page - I'm just about to put some up too. It's a real novelty for me to be *in* photos of events - and I look vastly less terrified than I felt! I think it was the swaying around that was the most alarming bit!

Claire.
