This year's amaryllis is on the verge of taking over the kitchen. (On a side note: why are all the girls in madrigals called either Phyllis or Amaryllis?)

It's their madrigal group name - take the name of the potted plant you were given for Christmas, plus your mother's maiden name. That means my madrigal group name is Amaryllis Darcy..
