Impressions of Spring
A few of the results of recent shooting-from-the-hip (or the knee) with the camera on the phone. I tend to think it focuses more closely than it really does, but I quite like the effects nonetheless.
A crowd of daffodils. Or possibly a mob.
Cherry blossom.
The daffodils again, a bit sharper, but still strangely composed...

Streetlamp
Water collected inside a streetlamp outside the CCA, where I was on the "Getting to where you want to be" workshop for poets (this was not actually an event for poets whose sat-navs have been stolen, although it may sound that way).
The crows who live behind the church
They're in the tree every day when I fetch the car. Let's hope they're ferocious in the face of car thieves...

Bench
I was back in the Glasgow Uni "Wildlife Garden" (emphasis on wild) yesterday as I needed a pond to photograph. The pond now contains actual frogspawn, so there may be life in the garden yet. A situation predicted by the pictograms on this bench (with a gap in the pattern where it appears to have been painted round an unsuspecting sleeper).

Birthday Party
Matthew's 2nd Birthday party this weekend featured a farm theme, including impressive tractor cake and attendant animals made by Auntie Fiona
who also helped with the blowing out of candles
and eating.

Mao Disney - Fluxing up the Aesthetic
Some of the shots from Saturday's gig, featuring Wake the President, Casual Sex, Post, Sexual Objects
and Aggi Doom
I call this last shot Casual Sex at 1"3 or, what happens if your camera flakes out for a moment and takes a much longer exposure than you told it to.
The rest of the pics are over on the Threads blog...
